Excitement and Loss

So these are a few of my favorite pictures from our trip that I wanted to comment on. They all make me LAUGH SO HARD!!! The first is of my funny Gavin ,Of course. He likes to tense up his whole body and do some funny face to get a laugh, and trust me, it works. He was doing this over and over again on the drive down and I was laughing hysterically. Then I just have to look at the pictures and I start laughing all over again! What I also love about it is that I have pictures of me doing this when I was little, and of Brigham when he was younger. Very funny munch man! Next is a tale of love and loss. The day of Lake Powell Caleb happened upon a boat in the sand toys that Rus's brother had brought. It soon became his beloved "boatie" which he would not part with the rest of the day. At one point he thought it would be fun to play with boatie it the spray of water the real boat would splash up when we got going. Sadly, his little fingers could not keep a tight grip, and moments later "boatie" had gone overboard. Luckily I was trying to take a picture of him right then, and captured the whole sad affair! Get ready for a good laugh! p.s. as luck would have it, "boatie" could float, so it was retrieved and all was right in the world!

Weekend O' Fun......

So last weekend we were invited to join Rus's brother and fam in a romp to St. George. Being the get up and go enthusiasts that we are, we went and had a great time! Our trip consisted of a great day boating and exploring in Lake Powell, a great day relaxing at the condo doing absolutely nothing, and then church and back home. How can you beat a weekend like that! The real high point in the trip was when we were hanging out at the condo and realized Gavin was missing. We found him down the street in the middle of the road. Some lady had stopped her car and got out right when we had found him, and through not many words let us know how irresponsible she thought we were. I was just glad it wasn't an old person who couldn't see over the steering wheel!! That gives you a little pound in your chest, doesn't it?!!! It was a great time! Thanks Greg, Em & fam!!

Its a GIRL!!!!!

Well, I did not think it was at all possible after the track record that Rus and I have, but we found out today that this little kicker is amazingly enough a GIRL!!!! You can all probably picture the grin that I have had plastered across my face all afternoon! Not that I wouldn't have been happy with my very own basketball team, but I did occasionally dream of picking up that cute little bow and actually having a reason to purchase it! Aside from the fact that we have a little girl coming, the baby also looked very healthy and problem free. We had a good long check of the face, and all looked great. Phew!! Now as long as there are no surprises along the rest of the way, we could be clear sailing! That feels good to say. We feel very blessed to have this little one coming to us shortly! Can hardly wait!!

Just Browsing....

So I was just sitting at my computer looking through everyone else's blog and feeling (as usual, if you couldn't tell) that I didn't want to write anything on my own. I decided to look at my pictures on my camera to see if there was really anything worth putting on, and came up with a few. So, here goes...... Power rangers with no shirt (go figure!??) Gavin practicing his back swing-in the house no less! Rustin's 33rd birthday!! LOVE YOU babe! Sunday Morning wrestling match.... Milk mustache after family night milkshakes.....YUM!

Caleb's First Day of Preschool!!

Tuesday was Caleb's first day at preschool! He was not sure about the whole thing, but was very proud to show it off to his brothers who helped get him settled in! He goes to Kinder Kollege and his teacher is Mrs. Rie, who has shown him a lot of love already. He had a bit of a hard time when we went to orientation, but he seemed to be more at ease this week. He goes with his triplet cousins Henry, Lucy, and Carly. I think that has helped having familiar faces there as well. Emily, their mom, said that after I left the first day, he played fine but had no intrest in doing what the rest of the class was doing. Oh well! He moves at his own pace!:) He has been excited to show me what he has done when I pick him up. He is very proud of his work. I am too! He is growing up so fast!!

Brigham's First Day of Kindergarten!!

Time flies, doesn't it? Just yesterday I was saying " I have five years till Brigham will be in school." I thought that was forever away, but now it is already here! Brigham started Kindergarten this past Tuesday and has been enjoying it thoroughly. He had no problem walking right into his class, talking to his teacher, and playing with Friends. Brave little one. He is like his mom, in that he shows no emotion about things like that. I had no problem letting him go, no tears on the walk home, no sadness at all. I think it is great, and just another step in the process(a big step at that, though). I am very proud of him! He really looks forward to the walk to school. All the kids from our neighborhood meet at the church parking lot and walk together. It is like a mass exodus. He has fun walking with all his friends, and I enjoy chatting with the moms!

After the Slides, We went to the Park!
