My little Diva

I got Addi her first purse and she absolutely loved it. She kept hanging things on her arm like a purse and walking around, so I figured it was time for the real thing. I LOVE having a little girl!

Desire

I woke up at 3:00 last night to feed Addie (insane, I know), and I could not go back to sleep. Feelings of inadequacy in my life overtook me and sleep was long gone. I know people say that when sleep evades you, don't just lay there in bed. But I am always afraid that if I wake up that I will never get back to sleep. After an hour and a half I finally climbed out of bed, read a little scriptures, had a snack, then got on the computer. I started at my my blog, and was somewhat disgusted with myself. Partly because I have barely blogged in the last 6 months, and partly because that is not the only thing in my life that I have no desire to do at all. I don't feel up for doing much of anything lately-cleaning, shopping, playing- not even reading- which I love. I can't decide if it is because I have 4 kids and just can't find the energy, or is it because we have been remodeling and my house is a mess and disaster area- which is making me depressed, or is it something else entirely. I just can't put my finger on it. In the wee small hours of the morning I determined to do better, starting with my blog-probably because it was staring me in the face. My goal is to post something every Wednesday. Hopefully having a set day will help. I also have goals to get the pictures off the camera cards and get them developed and into books, and also to read that beatitude book by Pres. Hinkley. I know, I know- I never read it. But maybe it will change my latest attitude after all! Who knows!

Andrea, this one's for you!

I love this picture for two reasons: 1. My cute sister, who is about to have a baby of her very own any time now and 2. Addi's expression is priceless! I have the cutest daughter ever!!!!

Learning to do all sorts of fun things......

Addi is almost 1 now and is doing all sorts of things. One in particular.... Yeah......my sweet little girl is already corrupted.

Happy Birthday my big 5 year old!!

Here it is! My best Christmas present EVER! My sweet Caleb. Caleb was born the night of our ward Christmas party(everyone was wondering where we were), and the week of me finally handing out the ward recipe book that I had put together! Few, what a week. Rus was just about to leave to take all of his employees skiing for the day (literally walking out the door!) when I told him to come back. I was bleeding. Thankfully he sent all ahead without him and stayed by my side the rest of the day. Lamely, I finished up addressing our Christmas cards to get them sent out, otherwise they would have never made it. Anyway, at 7:30 that night Caleb was born!! I am very thankful for Caleb. He is definitely the spice in our lives. He is sweet and frustration all wrapped into one :) I love you!

Idaho Falls

At the end of September, Rus and I had the chance to go up to Idaho Falls for a day to see Rus's friend Bryce bless his baby. We had such a great time. Even better was the fact that we got to leave the kiddos (except Addi) Home with the Grandma's. We had a wonderful drive of just talking and looking at the beautiful scenery. We drove up Saturday night, then went to the temple grounds and walked by the river Sunday morning before church. It was gorgeous there!! It was so nice to have a little break from the kids. Even just having Addi was such a break. We loved seeing Bryce and Jen and little samuel. Such a cutie!! We miss them a lot! Bryce did a wonderful job blessing Samuel and Jen's family put on a wonderful dinner. We were glad we got to be a part of it! Thanks guys!

Can you Guess????

Can you guess what Gavin is Doing??? Look at where he is sitting. Look at what he is holding, and where he is holding it. Now- use your imagination. That's right! After months (8 to be exact) of watching mommy feed baby Addi, Gavin has finally caught on---Almost. He is just a little off. His food comes out of his belly button. Thank goodness! And this is his adopted baby Addi, that he can maul(and feed) all he wants!
