RUS'S 1 MINUTE

Yes, this could be the only time that you get a message from me. Work has been extremely crazy!! With the LDS Church remodel of downtown and this new client (Talisker-just bought Canyon's Ski Resort) work has been good. I recently have been spending alot of time in Park City; I am not ready to be working in snow!! Besides work church callings have kept me busy. I am involved with the Teachers. We had a great trip last weekend to Arches National Park. We arrived Friday night at 8PM and hiked Delicate, Sand Dune, and Broken Arche in the dark. It was almost midnight when we reached camp. Saturday morning we hiked the Primitive Trail (Landscape, Double O, and Pine Tree Arch). Two boys left with no skin on their knees and elbows. I bet them a steak dinner if they could climb into Pine Tree Arch. They both made it up 30 feet and then slid down the rock on their hands and knees. There were probably 40 to 50 hikers that stopped to watch. We then went to Power Damn and went swimming. Brigham, Caleb, and Gavin keep me busy. I am lucky to have them; Laura too. Brigham and Caleb usually wait for me to get home so I can take them for a ride around the neighborhood on the 4-wheeler. I need to run. I WILL BE BACK!!!!!

LIFE-ITS CRAZY!!

Can I just say that life is just crazzzy!! My kids are growing up before my eyes, but I think my eyes keep closing, because I can't figure out how I already have a five year old(almost). Brigham is in three day a week preschool and I just can't stop thinking how in less than a year he will be in kindergarten and be gone everyday! And then Caleb will be in preschool. IT IS CRAZY! Brigham and Caleb both just started soccer this last weekend! We got them on the same team so we wouldn't have to go to two games (Yes!). Brigham did such a great job!! I was really impressed by how far he has come just since last spring. I was so proud of him!! Caleb decided the blanket on the grass and the snacks in the bag were way more fun than running around chasing a ball. Go figure!? It was fun all the same.
Rustin's parents finally had their official send off yesterday. They boarded the plane for their mission in Hamburg(?), Germany at ten in the morning, and should have arrived around 5:30 am this morning. Yuck! We got to have Sunday dinner with them the night before, which was great, but weird. It already felt like they had been gone a while, and then they were back. We will miss them a lot, but think they will have an awesome time.
Well, we are at the countdown now. Gavin has his next surgery two weeks from today. It is going to come so fast, but it will also go by fast as well, so just have to enjoy, right? I am excited because this will be the final one on his lip. He will look wonderful, but it is still hard to see him change. He is beautiful, always has been, always will be! (Excuse me while I tear up!)Anyway, the hardest part will, once again, be those dang arm splints and headgear. I have a tummy sleeper here people!! the two don't mesh well together. Like I said though, it will go by quick.
One last thing. I have to mention our upcoming trip to Moab(conference weekend) because we get to take our new toy!! A company Rus is doing work for just bought him a ranger to go out and paint mining towers on a cliff(literally!!!) It is basically like a four-wheeling golf cart, that can fit us all(even a car seat!). I'll let you know how it goes! Love to all!

Welcome to our family website!!

I have to admit that I am kind of excited about doing this website!! With part of my family and friends living outside the state and country, I thought this would be a great idea to keep people up-to-date on the happenings of my little family. My neighbor got going doing this and had me intrigued. I really can't believe that it was so easy to set up and that it is actually free. Just a side note, though, only those who I want to can access and read this. Just consider yourselves extra special. (you really are!) If you are interested for yourselves, go to http://www.blogger.com/. I will tell you ahead of time, I don't know how great I will be at posting blogs, especially at first, so be patient with me. This is Laura, if any of you where just wondering. Don't expect Rus to ever post much, he never gets on the internet. Anyway, I am really excited! See ya Later!!
